Tête de la Course athlete Arjuna Burgos kicked off his 2026 U.S. Junior National Track Championships with a bang winning the men’s 15-16 individual pursuit and setting a new national record in the process with a 3:34.005 time.
Arjuna had set an unofficial record back in the second week of June during the Skunkworks track event held at the Velo Sports Center in LA with a time of 3:33.9 so we knew that the record was in reach depending on the conditions at the outdoor track at T-town.
Arjuna arrived in PA for the championships directly from Belgium where he had spent the previous two weeks racing for USA Cycling as well as his Belgian team Sport & Steun. In Belgium Arjuna notched a win at a kermesse in Broek and finished 3rd overall in the Ronde Van Limburg.
