“Sure, we’ll be happy to coach you but we will only talk to you once a month for 30 minutes and don’t even think about sending more than 4 emails in a month. Oh yeah, and if something comes up in your personal life and we have to adjust your training plan to accommodate…well, that can only happen once a month too. But rest assured, you’ll get the personal touch custom tailored to you.”
Let’s just say that I personally have a problem with this approach. It might work for some coaches and coaching groups and their athletes but it most definitely does not work for me. I expect my athletes to be “All In”. I expect the same of myself. It is why I charge one flat fee for everyone and everyone gets as much time and attention as they need. It’s also why I restrict the total number of clients that I work with. I only have so much bandwidth and I want to be running at 100% for the people that have put their trust in me to help them reach their athletic goals.
All In or Not At All.
