Although I’m sure that July 13, 2013 has been circled in all Seattle area bike racers’ calendars I thought that I would still put out a little friendly reminder. So:
THE 73rd ANNUAL REDMOND DERBY DAYS CRITERIUM IS THIS SATURDAY!!!!!
Now, as anyone who has participated in my races in the past know, when I put on a race I like to put on a show. so rest assured there will be champagne to spray, gambler’s primes to sprint for and a lot of money stuffed into prize winner’s envelopes. And, don’t forget, stylish podium presenters too! So, without further ado here are the reasons why everyone in the PNW should make their way to Redmond on July 13th for the 73rd Redmond Derby Days Criterium:
- $10,000 in cash total prize list
- $1000 to the winner of the Pro 1-2 men’s race
- Reasonable Entry Fees ($25 pre-reg, $30 day of for all races except Pro 1-2 men. Pro 1-2 men only $30 pre-reg and $35 day of)
- Reasonable Entry Fees that already have the WA State Sales tax BUILT IN!
- Giant Replica Checks for the winners of the Pro 1-2 Men and Pro 1-3 Women race winners
- Champagne for the winners of all the categories to spray from the top step of the podium
- Great festival atmosphere
- The dreaded road reflectors being removed from crucial locations in all 4 corners (because I have always hated those things!)
- Gambler’s Primes
- Did I mention $10,000 in cash total prize list???!!!
